This is the first of three concert events for the "Sounds of Spring 2017 Concert Series" and is co-sponsored by Greater Buffalo Friends of Music and AGO.
Please come join the Cheektowaga Community Symphony Orchestra as they perform "Around the World in 80 Minutes." Under the direction of conductor candidate Bryan Eckenrode, the orchestra will perform the works of Weinberger, Ketelbey, de Falla, V. Herbet, R. Strauss, Oscar and Hammerstein, Mussorgsky, Offenbach, and Monti. The performance will also feature Accordion soloist, Al Schlisserman, performing Vittorio Monti's "Czardas." Kanazawa Jazz-21 Orchestra from Kanazawa, Japan coming to Hamburg.
International Jazz Concert at Hamburg High School: Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 7:30pm at Hamburg High School Auditorium, admission is free.

This past November (2016) The Hamburg High School Jazz Ensemble,under the direction of Larry Dubill, traveled to Japan for a music performance and cultural tour. This was the third time the HHS Jazz Ensemble traveled to Japan, as they went on similar tours in 2005 and 2010. They traveled to Buffalo's Sister-City in Japan, Kanazawa, and played in joint concerts with the Kanazawa Jazz 21 Orchestra. They also toured historic and cultural sites, and were guests of the City of Kanazawa.
